Ministries
Special Needs Ministry
We provide a Sunday school class that teaches bible truths to older
teens and young adults with special learning needs in a safe and
accepting environment. We share our faith and demonstrate God's
unconditional love as we help transform students' lives into what God
wants for them.
Celebrate
Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is a step based recovery program designed to help us
get free from addiction and codependency through the Love and Truth of
Jesus Christ. Celebrate Recovery's
focus is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives
through Eight Recovery Principles and the Christ Centered Twelve Steps.
See our page
and our flyer
for more information.
Home Groups
The
Home Group ministry provides a special time when the church body
gathers together in small groups at various homes. Currently,
we have several home groups that meet different nights every other
week, and two focus groups (Sound Promise and Rebuilders.) These
are times of fellowship in a
more intimate setting than a Sunday service allows.
Jesus centered relationships and close family bonds are
developed and nurtured at these gatherings.
We aspire to build a sense of community within the church body, further
strengthening our relationship with Jesus and with one another.
To join a home group please sign up at the kiosk in the foyer.
Sam's Purse
Sam's
Purse is a benevolent ministry of help.
Scripture instructs us to "love your neighbor as
yourself." Through the love and obedience of the congregation at Church
on the Sound, we are able to offer practical assistance to those
in need.
We
provide help to individuals and families who are in temporary crisis. Sam's Purse ministry extends to our own church body, and
reaches out to the community with Holiday Baskets at Thanksgiving. We are also
dedicated to blessing the lives of precious children living in difficult
circumstances, through our participation in Operation
Christmas Child.

Helping Hands Ministry
"Carry each others burdens and in this
way you will fulfill the love of Christ."
Galatians
6:2 (NIV)
This
ministry provides several opportunities for the demonstration of God's
love to our fellow "neighbors". Jesus gave the following
commandment in the parable of the Good Samaritan: "Love thy
neighbor as thyself." In a very practical sense, "loving"
involves noticing, caring, taking the time to help, and meeting each
other's needs as we are able. There are times when we all could use a
"helping hand" and as we minister to one another we are in
fact ministering unto the Lord.
